Lunar Eclipse Jan 20/21, 2019
The night of January 20, extending after midnight into Jan 21 there will be a total lunar eclipse well positioned for us in Raleigh. The moon will start fading away by 10pm and will then be cast in a reddish hue as the total lunar eclipse begins at 11:41pm. The moon will be fully eclipsed until 12:43am and then take about two additional hours to exit the Earth’s shadow. RAC does not have a public event planned for the eclipse…
OCTOBER IMAGING MEETING: ASTRO PIXEL PROCESSOR
Our next imaging meeting will be Thursday the 18th at 7:30pm and we will be returning to our new location, Manchester’s Grill. It is located at 9101 Leesville Rd, Raleigh, NC 27613 and we will be using the same meeting room in the restaurant. For this month’s topic, member Rowland Archer will talk about his experiences using the Astro Pixel Processor Software in his imaging workflow. As usual, bring by your astrophotos to share.
September Imaging Meeting *NEW LOCATION*
Our next imaging meeting will be Thursday the 20th at 7pm and we will be trying out a new location called Manchester’s Grill. It is located at 9101 Leesville Rd, Raleigh, NC 27613. There is a separate meeting room in the restaurant that we can use and have our projector and screen setup. As usual, bring by your astrophotos to share.
August 2018 Imaging Meeting: Do-It-Yourself
Join us this Thursday, August 16 for our monthly imaging meeting in the back hallway of the Raleigh Brickhouse Restaurant. The topic will be about Do-It-Yourself projects. Members are encouraged to bring in their creations to share with the rest of the group. As always, we will have the usual presentation of images since the last meeting.
July Imaging Meeting: Image Acquisition
Join us for our July Imaging Meeting. Member Michael Fulbright will be giving a presentation on his workflow of he sets up his telescope and cameras for a night of imaging. We’ll be meeting in the hallway behind the Brickhouse Restaurant on Hillsborough Street at 7pm. As always, bring your new images by to share.
