Business
Outreach Committee by Matt Lochansky
Outreach event at Dorothea Dix on November 6. Attendees may be capped at 250. Volunteers are needed to help manage lines in addition to bringing telescopes. Please register as a volunteer via the RAC Calendar page.
Another public outreach event at a downtown Raleigh hotel is being organized for November 17.
Keyholder Committee by Mike Keefe
Additional keyholders are welcome to join the committee. Keyholders are needed to open and close the gates at Big Woods for RACOBS. Mike will email the form to join the Keyholder committee, which is:

Phyllis Lang will host an upcoming class on reading star charts and star catalogs on Tuesday October 26 at 7:30PM. A RAC Calendar entry has been added.

ALCOR by Doug Lively
Recently submitted quarterly report on RAC membership to the Astronomy League. ALCOR helps coordinate AL award submissions from RAC members.
Every club member should verify the accuracy of their personal information in their RAC profile on the website.
Al Hamrick recently received the AL Herschel 400 Award.
AL also has an annual convention, along with lectures and a quarterly magazine.
