Slate of officers approved by acclamation (46 yes votes, 0 no votes).
Officers for 2020-21 are

- Big Woods Observing Guidelines by Phyllis Lang.
The officers and keyholders have devised guidelines for using the Big Woods observing site during Covid-19. The guidelines have been shared via groups.io and will be posted to the raleighastro.org web site. Use of Big Woods is by members only at this time.
- Observing Committee by Matt Lochansky.
Aug 11 – Perseids meteor watch at Dix Park. If this event is held, we will need a lot of help. Please monitor groups.io for a go/no-go decision.

Longtime webmaster Matt Lochansky is transititioning out of the role and turning it over to a new team. A huge thanks to Matt for his years of service!
The new web team is:
- Webmaster – Barton Meeks; Matt Lochansky will continue to serve in an advisory role
- Web Content Manager – Mark Gibson
- Social Media Director – Ana Vail
The web team is working on the website; please look for changes in the coming weeks.
- Club Historian.
We need a volunteer to organize the club’s historical records (primarily photos). We discussed digitizing these so that they can be stored online. We discussed splitting the work among several people or submitting it to a service. If you would like to lead this project, please contact an officer.
