6. The club may need to start looking at alternatives to Big Woods for our observing. The site has lost darkness over the year and while the relationship with the forest service that manages the site remains strong, there is worry that can change quickly. More events at Howell Woods was mentioned as an alternative. It offers indoor facilities and other favorable conditions. The primary negative is distance for many members.
7. The imaging group is continuing their beginner series. The past two meetings focused on equipment and how to take images. The next meeting will discuss image processing. The imaging group is also running a morning/afternoon session April 16 for help processing images in PixInsight, a very popular program for astrophotographers.
