
We had a great indoor session on Friday March 9th 2012. Ian Hewitt presented a very practical methodology for Astronomical Sketching. A separate article detailing Ian’s presentation can be found the following link.
On the business front: Astromony Days, begining in 2013 (by popular vote of members present), will be moved back to January.
Other important Club Business discussed was as follows:
- Jim DellaPenna announced that a Treasurer’s Report was available on the RAC web site under Club Reports (club members must log into the RAC web site a member to see this information).
- The NRC Opening: Volunteers are needed for this April 20th 24hr event. Please do not contact the museum concerning this event. Instead, you can register as a RAC volunteer at the following link.
- It was noted that if the RAC observing session April 13th is a rain out there will be no subsequent Museum meeting for that night. The museum will be closed at that time so that staff can prepare for the NRC opening.
- Astronomy Days 2012 will occur on May 19th & 20th, 2012. Volunteers are needed and every one is encouraced to signup for this twoday event. The following exhibits were breifly discussed:

The club meeting adjourned and those who were able retired to a local restaurant for an after meeting get-together.
