On December 9th, the RAC indoor meeting was a club Social. We had a pretty good turnout of club members, guests and visitors who enjoyed the many great tasting items provided by the membership.
ALCor Brian Reasor awarding Ian Hewitt a certificate for completing the Herschel 400
Doug Lively made several announcements, including an award given out to Ian Hewitt by the club’s Astronomical League Coordinator (ALCOR), Brian Reason. Ian received an award for completing the Herschel 400 Deep Sky objects. In addition to observing all the objects, Ian sketched each one! Congratulations on a job well done.
RACOBS Trivia Challenge
There was even a trivia game that Ian Hewitt put together concerning statistics for the number of successful observing sessions that the club has had. There was a lot of participation trying to guess the correct answers to the questions about the observing sessions. Of course, there was plenty of food and great socialization. It was a fun time had by all.
