SteveChristensen, Ph.D. provided a very engaging presentation on back holes to almost 50 members and guests in attendance at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences. The presentation covered many aspects of black holes including their theoretical discovery as a result of mathematical proofs and complex equations, their actual discovery in our universe, the many scientists involved in black hole research over the past decades, the properties of black holes and where to find more information about black holes. Dr. Christensen even touched on some of his own research and finished up his presentation by answering quite few questions from our audience.

After a brief break, we discussed Astronomy Days in the business section of the meeting. Afterwards a dozen or so members and guests gathered at a local restaurant for a drinks and a late dinner.
