Our very own club member, Ron Monti, presented this topic.  This is a continuation of the topic he presented in July of 2013.  He was kind enough to briefly go over the first part for those of us that missed it.  After this brief overview, he dove into the new material.

Ron Monti went over some of what is being done at the museum.  You can see some of the visualizations at the Investigate Lab.  He went over the different models in this lab.  After going over this, he went over the three types of scientific visualizations – reality-based, model-based and thought experiments.   This presentation only went over the latter two types.  He then went over the definitions and some videos to demonstrate the concepts.

The presentation was well received and very well done.  I thought the videos added to explaining the concepts.
