Mars Image Feb 27 2012
In the March Imaging SIG meeting (now the first Friday of every month!), there was a great discussion about processing planetary images with Registax. The group also worked with our own Chris Cole to produce a Mars image from video he had taken the week before.
Starting from the raw image, Chris went step by step in the processing of the video file into the finished image above. Along the way, the group members shared their tips and experiences on the techniques to produce the best results. Even for many who had used the Registax program before, there was something new to be learned.
There was also a good discussion on focusing webcams, especially when using LRGB imaging.
