Recent Events:

  • May 7 – The Hartwell (Raleigh)

  • May 16 – James Creek Cider House (Cameron)
    • Coordinator: Steve B
    • Volunteers: Ollin, Blair, Dean, Susan, Ana, Liam, Steve B
    • Recap: Steve B –
High clouds in Cameron did persist last night. There were a few moving gaps, but most observing was restricted to Jupiter, Venus, and M44. Despite that, a crowd of at least 40 attended, and they were very appreciative of our attendence.
James Creek has named a cider in our honor. I was unable to negotiate royalties.

I shared a classroom with SSA Shawn Boyle. He had a monitor and a few video presentation and did a good job keeping the kids and parents engaged. I mainly just handed out flyers. I am going to push back on hard on elementary school STEM nights going forward that are scheduled during daylight savings time.
