Astronomy League by AL Coordinator (ALCOR) Doug Lively
Doug gave an overview of AL observing programs that RAC members can complete.
Staunton River Star Party by ALCOR Doug Lively
Doug gave an overview of the facilities at Staunton River State Park, VA and discussed the upcoming fall star party on October 4 2021.
Observing Outreach. by Co-chair Anastasia Vail
Outreach events will resume soon. Details are being finalized and will be shared with the rest of the club very soon. An outreach education event for volunteers is planned for late August (Mike Keefe). The committee needs additional volunteers to coordinate events and assist at events without bringing a telescope.

Perseid Meteor Shower Observing Event by ALCOR Doug Lively
The Perseid meteor shower will be visible starting August 11 2021. RAC members are encouraged to view the shower at teh Howell Woods observing site (near Clayton). RAC members are encouraged to gather there on August 13 (RACOBS) in addition to the Big Woods observing site.
