Each year, in April, The Raleigh Astronomy Club works with several local sites participating in the Statewide Star Party, part of the NC Science Festival.

The 2017 Theme is “Star Light, Star Bright.”
There is no cost to attend the events and is suitable for all ages. Children do need to be supervised. The sites are generally kept dark and the use of white light flashlights is strongly discouraged to allow our eyes to adapt to the darkness and enjoy the sky.
